Places called
home
Places Called Home was a partnership between The National Lottery Community Fund, IKEA Lagom, and Middlesex University, designed to empower communities to shape their neighbourhoods through practical participation projects.
The project focused on creating the visual identity and all digital assets, including reports and social media templates. The design balanced IKEA’s minimalistic aesthetic with a subtle influence from the Every One Every Day brand—introducing bright colours and playful shapes to add warmth and vibrancy while maintaining a clean and structured feel. Localisation efforts, such as a Welsh-language logo adaptation, further strengthened regional engagement.
